Collaborate with Cranleigh Recruitment was born out of the desire and passion of its two Director/Owners to back talented professionals in building successful recruitment businesses. We believe through our own experiences, expertise and convictions that we are well positioned to deliver the right tailored support, in providing an incredible platform to enable the rapid growth of your new business.
Our experience jointly consists of over 30 years living and breathing recruitment. It is all we have ever done and what we still love to do. Our experience ranges from building a number of successful individual desks within large multinational recruitment firms, to then creating, building and growing our own recruitment agency, that has successfully been operating for over 15 years.
What has been the driving force for our success has been one simple attribute which is that we always operate with the utmost integrity, be that with, our clients, candidates and fellow colleagues. We believe this is the most important way to serve the recruitment industry, and you can be confident that this is how we will operate in our future collaboration with you as we look to help you realise the dream of running your own business and being your own boss!

The “I fell into recruitment” cliche that you hear so many times in our industry, is exactly what happened to me. And looking back over my recruitment career of 20 years, Im so pleased that It did .
My recruitment career followed straight from graduating at the University of Surrey in Business Management. I headed for the big smoke to start my working life. To pay rent, I booked an appointment at a boutique Hospitality recruitment agency in Mayfair , the plan to sign up for some catering work, whilst applying for graduate programmes.
It was in this first interview for a catering position, that the Managing Director (Thank you Rob Hancox!) of the Agency, saw something in me and believed I had the potential to be successful in the field of recruitment.
I snapped up the chance and started the following Monday , placing chefs and kitchen staff of all levels into high end establishments all over London. The start of my recruitment career had begun and I have never looked back.
I simply love the buzz of recruitment, everything from assisting my clients with last minute requirements, through to comprehensive recruitment campaigns for multinational corporations.
My career moves over the years have provided me with a breadth of experience, ranging from a small boutique agency, through to a large multi million pound turnover recruitment firm. I have successfully built profitable contract and permanent desks from scratch, to now jointly owning and running my own recruitment company. My reward and fulfilment comes from instilling the confidence, skills and attributes I believe produce exceptional recruitment leaders. Recruitment leaders who are proud in what they do day in day out, leaders who are creditable, knowledgable and provide an exceptional service to their clients and candidates, who want to use them time and time again. Which in my opinion is the true sign of an exceptional recruitment leader.
For me it all started in 2003, when as a bright eyed graduate leaving Kings College London with a degree in History I embarked on my career in recruitment. In many ways I was born into recruitment as my mother had successfully built two businesses and it was the second of these that I joined after leaving university. I still remember the words I said to her then which were, ‘I’ll give it six months, whilst I work out what I really want to do’. Well those six months turned into 17 years (and still counting), and whilst I didn’t know it back when I started, it soon became clear to me that recruitment was what I really wanted to do - and so I have kept doing it.
My career has been with one business, Cranleigh, but I am fortunate enough to work (and have worked), alongside fantastic business partners, colleagues and mentors who have helped me to hone my skills as a recruitment professional and business owner. Alongside my passion for working with clients and candidates to provide a consultative approach to the recruitment process, I also enjoy immensely the buzz that running your own business gives you. It’s this combination of business insight and recruitment experience that I hope to be able to offer to those looking to collaborate with us in the future.
The challenges of growing a business are great that I won’t deny, but the rewards are greater still and for those of you out there who are looking to take the plunge and go it alone all I can say is do it and don’t look back, trust in yourself and your ability and hopefully with a little guidance from us along the way and the support of our trusted commercial contacts, we can help you to realise your dream of running your own business and being your own boss.
